Can you lend a helping hand?
There are lots of jobs both big and small at BCK that are carried out by our army of volunteers, without whom all of our lives would be a little harder and we want to say
A BIG THANK YOU
to all those people who give there time and their skills to ensure the smooth running of BCK.
From time to time we carry out special or one off projects that require volunteers, details will be posted here and if you think could help out, sign up will usually be via the 'physical' bulletinboard by the clubhouse or to a named individual who is handling the project. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Even if there are no current projects, if you have any specialist skills that you think might be useful to the community please contact one of the board members - thank you.
Glea Fischer is looking to get the landscape committee up and running again this year. Can you please contact her if you are still interested in being involved with the committee this year. Glea is in unit T5.
Entryway Fountain Maintenance Volunteer Found
For many, many years, Gene Anderson has been our go-to guy for maintaining the fountain at the entryway. He has volunteered his time to clean the fountain pool and apparatus, filling it with clean water when necessary and checking to see the pump is functioning properly.
Gene has decided to retire from this volunteer position and Rick Herman has agreed to be his replacement. Our many thanks to Gene for all of his hard work over the years and to Rick for agreeing to take over from him.
Last year, as always, many projects were completed by volunteers. The annual mulching was completed in record time, as many hands make light work. Volunteers also put solar lights above building signage, which should make it easier for your guests to find your building in the dark!
