March 9th
The Notice of the Budget Approval Meeting and February Financial Statement have been posted on the committee bulletin board.

March 1st
Reminders
  • Guests and Pets - if a guest shows up with a pet not realizing guests cannot bring pets into BCK, the pet MUST be kept on a leash and under control at all times 
  • Bulk Waste - the Bokeelia dump at Sesame and Stringfellow is still open - please take any bulk waste items there as opposed to leaving in the dumpster area
  • Recycling 1  - please put all recycling items IN the bins.  Please do not leave between the bins as WastePro will not pick up from between the bins.
  • Recycling 2 - please do NOT put plastic bags in the recycling bins.  Please dump the recyclable items directly into the bins.
  • Pools & Spas -  Please do not change heat settings, fill pools with a hose or any other type of pool/spa maintenance.   The new company started Wednesday, March 1st.
  • Construction zone - with the rebuild work still being conducted, we are considered a construction zone.  Please assist with keeping non-approved guests out of the complex so we don't have accidents, they don't get nails/screws in their tires and we only have those who need to be here.  
  • As an awareness - there could be debris in the attic air handler pans that might clog the drain hole causing an overflow of water onto the drywall.  ​

Over the next week or two we will be going in every unit to check all windows and exterior doors. The insurance company once again is sending out another engineering firm to inspect these openings. If you see a small colored sticker on a window or door please DO NOT remove it. We want to have every damaged opening marked and cataloged so they do not miss any on their inspection.
That inspection will be on February22nd and February 23rd

January 19th
As a follow up to the January 12, 2023 board meeting when the topic of a tennis/pickleball schedule was deferred, below is the follow up from the board.
At the present time, the board agrees a schedule isn't necessary and are strongly recommending one court always remain available.  i.e. when there are 2 separate groups of BCK owners playing, each group is allowed only one court
With reference to the topic of non-BCK owners playing, owners should always take precedence. 
The board is also encouraging interested homeowners to form a tennis/pickleball committee to address any future concerns and also provide further enhancements.

The drywall hanging and finishing crews are continuing to work in the buildings and an update on that progress will be posted when available.

January 4th
 ​The drywall installation on the walls continues.  Buildings i, J, B and C are completed as of the end of day Tuesday, Jan 2, 2023.  The remaining buildings are being done in this order: G, M, D, F, N, R, E, T, H, K, A, O, Q, S, P, L
Ceiling drywall will follow shortly after the foam insulation with an exact schedule to be determined.         
Metal Roof Update:
Buildings F, H and N require some additional roof work before the foam insulation can be applied.  These 3 buildings will have the roofs completed prior to the foam insulation and that work will start no later than Tuesday, January 10th.  Once we have a confirmed day/time from Aspen, it will be communicated.

We continue to progress and, again, appreciate the support, patience and understanding of the community.
